Dr. Richard Chaffoo is a triple board-certified plastic surgeon serving San Diego. He has the knowledge, training and experience to perform a wide range of cosmetic procedures for our skin care patients.
Dr. Chaffoo has earned board certifications from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, The American Board of Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is one of only a handful of surgeons in the entire nation who have earned such triple board certification. Dr. Chaffoo has over 25 years of experience in the field of plastic surgery and has helped thousands of people throughout Southern California enhance their appearance through cosmetic and plastic surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Chaffoo has completed 3 fellowships; two were completed at Stanford University Medical Center. One was in Facial Aesthetic Surgery and the other in Head and Neck Surgery. He also completed his other fellowship in Burn Surgery at the University of California San Diego Medical Center.
In addition to being esteemed by his patients, Dr. Chaffoo is highly respected in the medical community. He is President of the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society, a clinical faculty member in the Department of Surgery at the University of California San Diego Medical Center, and Chief of the Plastic Surgery Section at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas. He has been named a Top Plastic Surgeon by the American Research Council in Washington, DC. He performs cosmetic surgery procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction, rhinoplasty and more.
