Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.
This patient is a 65-year-old female who had a history of breast cancer and double mastectomy, approximately 35 years prior. She had several breast reconstruction surgeries elsewhere without aesthetic success. The patient noted significant hardening of both implants with extensive breast distortion and asymmetry. Upon examination with San Diego Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Chaffoo, the patient was versed on the options of breast revision surgery. The procedure entailed removal of hardened scar tissue and removal of bilateral breast implants. Dr. Chaffoo had reconstructed the breast pockets to fit more proportionate newer silicone implants as well as reconstructed a new areola and nipple. The patient had been over whelming pleased with her outcome and continues to live cancer free.
